dingfIt might be obvious by now, but I am migrating away from this blog.

I've graduated to Wordpress (thank god) and my new Internet-Marketing-related blog is Building from Nothing.

I will gradually move the information over from this blog to that one, updating it and organizing it better as I go. This was really one of my very first blogs online, when I was still in IM diapers and didn't even really know what a font tag was. It would need a lot of cleanup and fixup, but in any case, it's moving! To the greener fields and happier pastures of Wordpress.

Okay, I am a big fan of Brad Callen and I LOVE his software. I occasionally check his website to see if he has anything new. Today I just happened to check and I found something from Matt Callen (related?) which is called Hyper VRE. There is a free version and a paid version.

Wow! This looks REALLY cool. I mean it. At the time I bought it, I also got a free copy of Directory Submitter Gold, which is one of his software that I don't have yet. So I am going to see how that one works too. There are a bunch of free bonuses but these aren't the usual useless crap that clutters your hard-drive and that you sort through to see if there is anything of value. There are REALLY something that will make a difference.

Anyway I don't usually just jump up and buy things but I bought Hyper VRE Gold because I was really excited. Now I have to go to bed and don't really want to. Because I have all these new toys and I am really excited to get started!

I think we all want this. Some will want the free version, some will want the paid. Great for beginners and non-beginners alike.

I love and this one software looks like it might even come close to surpassing others from Brad Callen. There are videos you can watch to see how it works (one before you enter your email, and one after). You can see them at Hyper VRE Gold.

I know I haven't posted for a long time on this blog.

This tool allows one to find high-traffic low-competition keywords for the subject you are interested in - once you learn to use it you can do about a month's worth of full-time research in an hour or so. It found things I would never have thought of or searched for:

By the way, the first site I made was a "mistake" as its keywords are only searched for around 20 times a day. With the above tool I found out that a very similar keyword gets 1500 searches a day! In other words, all I have to do is optimize my site to another keyword! It's a sales site.

So it's like if you would have a website for "Sugar-Free Pies and Tarts" which gets 20 searches a day, and then you find out that "Sugarless Pastries" gets 1500 a day! That's a made-up example but you get the idea.

I researched my keywords for about 7 websites. I found out which keywords to target, and also which synonymous keywords to use throughout the site, in which locations and combinations to use them, etc.

There's a monthly fee so it's only for people who are really serious, want to make a very large amount of long-term residual income, and who have time to study and research and build their sites intelligently.

What is Pay Per Play?

What is Pay Per Play?

I've encountered some questions and confusions on what Pay Per Play is. This is a very brief summary of the important data:

- Pay Per Play (PPP) is a New Form of Advertisement in the form of a 5-second audio ad that plays when a visitor reaches a page of your site.

- You put the Pay Per Play Ad on your site by embedding a code, just as you would with Pay Per Click Ads such as Google Adsense.

- When a visitor reaches the site, they hear the ad. There is no visual ad and no link. The ad takes up no space on your site. Visitors are not led out of your site by a link.

- The minimum payment threshold is $25.00 which can be paid by Paypal, Check, etc.

- You are paid 25% of what the advertiser pays. This is higher than the percentage paid by Google Adsense.

- This is a new form of Advertisement. Advertiser bidding starts on 22 December. The ads will begin to play on 1 February.

- If your visitor has his sound off, you still get paid.

- If you sign up before a certain deadline, you can become a referrer. That means that you can sign other people up to run the ads on their sites and you will receive a 5% commission of what the advertisers pay them. If they sign someone up, you also get 5% of what is paid to that referral. (Two tier).

This means that you could have a lifetime residual income without doing anything after originally signing someone up. Sign up someone that has a website with a billion visitors a month and you could have hundreds of thousands in commissions per month, for life.

- You can choose what page(s) you put the ads on. I imagine it doesn't have to be the home page.

- You can optionally have a 30-second ad play on some pages of your site. This might be on a page where you offer a freebie such as a free E-Book or download. The visitor goes there to get the freebie and thus puts up with the 30 second ad, and you get paid more for that ad.

Another idea is to put a 30-second ad on your contact form. Especially if you feel you are already getting too many emails!

- Why all this? TV Advertising isn't as effective as it was. People record TV Programs and fast-forward through the commercials. Or spend more time online than they do watching TV. Or watch videos online instead of watching TV.

So Pay Per Play is somewhat a replacement for TV Commercials. That's why it is worth it to the advertisers even though there is no link to their site and even though some people might have their sound off.

They paid for TV Commercials, and people sometimes go to the kitchen during commercials, don't they? So there's no greater loss in Pay Per Play.

I hope this helps to answer some questions on this subject. If there are more, please let me know. I've been following this subject since before it was released.

The same goes for people signed up by your sign-ups. This only applies to those who sign up before a certain deadline. I think it's a couple of months. (Now you see why I am so enthusiastic about signing you up, right?)

4. The ad doesn't take up any space on your website. There's nothing to click so visitors won't leave your site via the ad.

5. You can put it on any site where it is allowed by the terms of the company concerned. You can put ppp ads on blogs, MySpace pages, free-hosted websites, etc.

6. You will get paid regardless of whether your visitors have the sound off on their computers.

I also should mention that I can no longer recommend Clickbank at all - ESPECIALLY for new affiliate marketers. To understand, read their rules.

The gist is, you don't get a commission unless you have at least 5 purchases, some from VISA, some from Mastercard. And if your account goes too long without income, the balance starts to decrease every payment period. For exact specifics, see the site and their rules.

The Important Things We Forget, About How to Make Money Online

There are a few points in the field of making money online that are a bit too easy to forget - and too important.

1. Be honest.

2. Don't do things to others that you wouldn't want them to do to you. (If you think this won't help you make money online, you shouldn't be trying.)

3. Don't try to trick people.

4. Don't try to sell people things they don't need.

5. In any online-income endeavors you make, provide a useful service.

6. Give something valuable to others and you will eventually get something back.

7. Exchange a something worthwhile for the money you get (or hope to get).

8. Never sell something which you think is unnecessary, a waste of money, harmful, or useless.

9. Don't try to "fool the search engines," "beat the system," or "get around the rules." It will only backfire. And slow you down.

10. You could spend hundreds of hours trying to figure out every rule of a search engine's algorithms, in order to get your site to the top of the list for a specific keyword.

Or you could just think to yourself, "If I would type these keywords into a search engine, what would I be looking for? What kind of website would I be hoping to find?" Then, make that website.

11. When you are just beginning, stick with what you are the most successful at or what is simplest for you to do, and just keep doing that.

Putting pay-per-click ads on a site and then just driving traffic to the site is an excellent way to start. You won't overwhelm and confuse yourself with a dozen affiliate companies or get-rich-quick schemes. You will learn how to build sites, get backlinks, and drive traffic in. And more traffic = more clicks so you will see your site getting more and more successful.

12. If you are a beginner, get a simple E-Book which teaches you the basics of making money online, multiple streams of income, affiliate marketing, etc.

Get one with good reviews - do some research. This is far better than trying to figure everything out from random websites and newsletters. Trust me, I tried it!

13. Get a good, free, webstat counter. This is vital so that you can keep track of your successful actions and increase them.

13. Don't start off by spending tons of money on various make-money-online schemes.

If you pay for anything, buy a good beginner's E-Book, maybe some webhosting (or just get a free blog), possibly a manual directory submission service, and possibly a semi-automated article-submission software program.

If you don't know what these things are, get a good E-Book for beginners first. Then you will know!

14. Keep simple.

15. Don't give up fast. Persist. Research. Learn. Make friends. Have fun.

Two Article Submission Softwares I Have Tried

The Article Money System

This software is great, I am keeping it. It is very easy to understand, intuitive, and user-friendly. You just paste in your article and bio and URL, then you select which sites you want your article submitted to, and it takes you through one site at a time, semi-automatically entering the article and letting you register with each article site. This is better than a fully automated software because search engines heavily penalize you for blasting your article out to a hundred places all at once.
The first time you do it might take longer as you have to register. And there is user interaction. The advantage, though, is that you can submit to article sites which normally don't allow "automated" submissions and which require user intereraction (like filling out the squiggly letters to make sure you aren't a software, etc.) So you will reach more sites this way. You can also choose who you submit to. For example if you have three articles, you could submit one to the first third of the list, then submit the next article to the next third of the list, etc. This will help avoid having your backlinks removed due to duplicate content. But it saves a lot of timee as it automatically enters your article, password, username, author bio, URL, etc, and automatically goes to each website. So instead of spending 3 months registering to each site and submitting your first article, you could do it in one evening. Later article submissions would be even faster because you have already registered.
And if you don't have time to submit to all at once, you can do a few at a time.

Web-Stats (Hit Counters)

When you are working on directing traffic to your site, it is KEY to have a good web-stat program which will show you how many visits you have, who is visiting, what site or search term referred them to your site, how long they stayed, what pages they visited, etc.
The absolute best I have tried yet is Web-Stat. This stat counter is very easy to navigate, and it tells you all of the above data and more. It is very simple to log on and see who has been on your site recently, what site or key words they were referred from, where they are on the globe, etc. If you have one of the better accounts, it also tells you exactly which pages they visited and how long they stayed.
With a free trial the first month is free. After that, it starts at $5.00 per month. If you can afford it, it is definitely a worthwhile investment.
If you can't afford it, or if you want to start out with a free Web-Stat counter, here are some free ones I know of.
I have tried several, my favorite is eWebcounter. You can create several free acounts on one logon, so you only have to log on once and you can then check 5 websites without logging off and on again. It is also very easy to navigate, and contains data which is missing from some webstat counters. It is easy to configure it not to count your own hits, and doesn't require that you use a cookie to do so. It even tells you what your current IP address is, so that you can easily block counts from your IP address without having to figure it out (useful to those who use various IP addresses such as wireless hotspots.) You can also see where your visitors come from, their paths (which pages they visited) and what website or search term referred them to your website. The free version even emails you once a week with your stats! It is the second best I found, the best being Web-Stat (as covered above).
My second-favorite free stat counter is www.histats.com. It allows you to keep track of more than one site on one account (so you don't have to log on and log off to check each of your sites). It includes most of the data listed above and is not too difficult to navigate (though it isn't as good as Web-Stat). The main drawback is that the function for excluding your own visits from your web stats can be a bit confusing to figure out. Once you figure it out, though, it is worth it.

If you will be into making money online you are likely to be all over the internet and you will need protection from different types of malicious software.

For Anti-Virus and Internet Security - everybody online needs Internet Security. There is only one I found that didn't give me trouble, and that's Kaspersky. How I found it? My computer was not working normally and I was searching all over the place for help. Finally someone on a work-from-home forum helped me. He told me to uninstall my Internet Security! I did and it handled it.

I had been using one of the "famous" Internet Security Companies' software. It was hogging my resources, making trouble for my computer, and not doing many updates.

He recommended Kaspersky because it does not hog resources, updates very often, and finds and handles viruses much better.

It also doesn't confuse me like the other one! I got it and have been very happy with it. So I eventually became an affiliate and put the link on my site.

There are additional free resources of antispyware, antiadware, and other software which helps protect your computer in many various ways. One is not necessarily enough, as they all do different things.

I got this from a list of trustable sites which I was linked to from a tech support forum. Here's the first one (it is free):

You can register with one of these companies and then get special links to certain products. Put these links on your blog or website, and when someone clicks that link and then buys a product, you get a commission.
